Last night, Bacon staffers were invited to the Heineken 'Meet You There' launch party at the trendy Toronto sushi-bar 'Banzai Sushi'.
Heineken launched their new philosophy 'Meet You There' last night at the event, and introduced a large crowd to the music, dancing and atmosphere of the new campaign. The new Heineken philosophy is based on the belief that life is more rewarding for people who reach out and experience new things. In support of this idea, Heineken also launched their impressive Heineken H2 aluminum bottle at this event. These bottles are supposed to remain cold a lot longer than traditional glass bottles... not that we tested that theory, the ice-cold Heineken was so good that it just didn't last that long. The beautiful new bottle (created by famed French designer Ora Ito) was equaled only by the beautiful women serving them. Shwing!
The event was a total blast. The crowd sampled terrific sushi, enjoyed ice-cold Heineken in the H2 bottles, grooved to some fine turntablists, and witnessed some terrific break dance hybrid dancing. Heineken also used the opportunity to debut their new 60-second television commercial, entitled 'Sampling', which featured the same mash music and dancing styles seen live at the event. Queen street was clothed in the distinctive 'Heineken green', adding to the festive feel of the event. The beer was ice-cold and bottomless, and there were beautiful ladies everywhere (and this was long before I put my beer goggles on!). Later, the party moved to several locations in and around Queen St. and Kensington Market, and raged on till early morning.
Does life get any better than that? We spent the evening enjoying the music, dancing, and philosophy of Heineken, while surrounded by beautiful women, and rivers of golden Heineken beer. So, if you want to go party, give me a call, and I'll 'Meet You There'.
