Highlights:
- Mark Knopfler is a guitar god. Money for Nothing undoubtedly has one of the most recognizable riffs in Rock n' Roll. That song also includes the backup vocals from Sting.
Downsides:
- As great as Mark Knopfler is, this album bored me. I'm the kind of guy who needs fast-paced, instant gratification. And apart from the first three tracks, the album blows goats. The remaining tracks are too mellow to keep my interest. They sound a lot like Sting. Nothing against Sting though, he can do those types of songs because he can actually sing.
Verdict:
You'll probably like "So Far Away", "Money for Nothing", and "Walk of Life". They're catchy. The rest of the album is some sort of dreamy, mellow crap. It sucks.
